What is the significance of
the Arhuaco people?
The Arhuaco are one of the four indigenous peoples who are guardians of the Sierra Nevada de Santa Marta, they are protectors of the sacred sites of Seikun and Nabusimake. Their presence and spiritual practices are deeply intertwined with these lands; they have inhabited and safeguarded this region for millennia, their cultural and spiritual heritage intrinsically linked to the mountains.
What is the Sierra Nevada to the Arhuacos?
The Arhuaco consider the Sierra Nevada to be the “heart of the world,” a living being and the oldest on the planet. Their understanding of the natural world and the interconnectedness of all life is central to their role as caretakers of this sacred land.

Seikun y Nabusimake, are sacred lands with deep spiritual and cultural significance for the Arhuaco people.
Seikun is revered as a sacred site connected to the forces and energies of fire and thought, while Nabusimake, nestled in the mountains, is the cultural and spiritual capital of the Arhuacos, known as the place where the sun is born.

The Heart’s Journey Experience takes place in the Arhuaco Reservation in the Sierra Nevada de Santa Marta, Colombia.
Where is the land exactly?
The Heart’s Journey, will take place in the Seykun and Nabusimake communities in the Sierra Nevada of Santa Marta.
The Sierra Nevada de Santa Marta, located in northern Colombia, is the highest coastal summit in the world and covers an area of 12,600 km². Due to its altitudinal variability, it encompasses almost all the climatic zones that can be found in tropical America, with a wide range of biodiversity in fauna and flora from the sea to the permanent snow. Four indigenous peoples reside there, with very similar worldviews: the Arhuacos, Kogis, Wiwas, and Kankuamos.
When?
Arrival – February 16 in Valledupar.
Departure on February 22 from Valledupar.

What are the logistics and needs for this experience?
The experience is designed as an all-inclusive package that covers and arranges everything, except for flights, transportation to and from the airport, and any items or food you wish to purchase outside of what we offer.

Pricing Options:
- Individual Pricing: Receive a 15% discount for individuals at $1,880 per person.
- Duo Pricing: Enjoy a 25% discount for pairs (friends or couples) at $1,660 per person.
Payment Details:
- To secure your spot, a 50% deposit of the total amount is required by January 9, 2025.
- The remaining balance must be paid in full by February 2, 2025.

- Limited Availability: Spaces are limited, and your reservation is confirmed with the 50% deposit, demonstrating your commitment to join us.
- Non-Refundable Deposits: Please note that deposits are non-refundable, as we will be holding your spot and planning for your participation from the moment your application is accepted.
Cancellation Policy:
- If circumstances change and you can no longer attend after securing your space, the deposit will not be refunded. However, we are happy to work with you on a case-by-case basis.

The price covers the following:
- All activities, experiences, and journeys listed. Any expenses outside of that are your responsibility.
- Lodging for all days of the experience, from the night of February 16 to the night of February 21.
- Transportation to all experiences and destinations we will visit. Please note that airport transfers and any additional transportation not listed are your responsibility.
- Food, snacks, water, and non-alcoholic drinks are included from the moment you arrive until the last day. We strongly recommend that you read through all the details provided, as the locations we will be visiting may make it challenging to accommodate all dietary restrictions and requests.

As a general note, spaces are limited, so everyone must reserve their spot. Payment can be divided into two installments, but the full amount must be paid by February 2, 2025.
